- 1 lb ground meat (beef, turkey, or chicken)
- 1 cup fresh cranberries
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 tbsp fresh rosemary, chopped
- 1 tbsp fresh thyme, chopped
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/4 cup honey or brown sugar (for glaze)
- 1/4 cup water (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Dice onions and garlic and sauté them in olive oil over medium heat for 2-3 minutes until translucent.
- Mix the ground meat, sautéed onions and garlic, breadcrumbs, egg, chopped herbs, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
- Form the mixture into 1 to 1.5-inch balls.
- Combine cranberries, water, honey or brown sugar, and salt in a saucepan for the glaze. Cook until the cranberries burst.
- Place the meatballs on a lined baking sheet, brush with cranberry glaze, and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Garnish with additional glaze and herbs before serving.
Notes
Adjust cooking time based on the size of the meatballs. Ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) for poultry.
