Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix the softened unsalted butter with the brown sugar until light and fluffy (3-5 minutes).
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl and gradually mix into the wet ingredients.
- Fold in caramel sauce and optional add-ins.
- Scoop rounded tablespoons onto lined baking sheets, sprinkle with coarse sea salt, and bake for 10-12 minutes.
- Cool on baking sheets before transferring to wire racks.
