Ingredients
- Salmon fillets
- Sesame seeds (white or black)
- Fresh garlic cloves
- Low-sodium soy sauce
- Olive oil or sesame oil
- Lemon or lime
- Chopped green onions
- Salt and pepper
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine minced garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, and lemon juice to make the marinade.
- Place salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them, letting sit for at least 15 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Line a baking tray with parchment paper, drizzle with olive oil, and place the salmon fillets skin-side down on the tray.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds generously over each fillet and bake for 12-15 minutes until salmon flakes easily with a fork.
- Alternatively, heat oil in a skillet over medium heat, cook salmon skin-side down for 5-7 minutes, then flip and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes with sesame seeds on top.
