  • Salt, to taste
  • Freshly Cracked Black Peppercorns, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 cup Chicken or Vegetable Broth
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream (or Half-and-Half)
  • Fresh Herbs (Thyme or Parsley), to taste

Instructions

  1. Season the pork chops generously with salt and cracked black pepper on both sides.
  2. Sear the chops in a hot skillet with butter for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  3. Remove the chops and cover with foil to keep warm.
  4. Create the sauce in the same pan by adding more butter and sautéing minced garlic until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the broth or wine and scrape up any bits stuck to the pan.
  6. Add the heavy cream and cracked pepper, stirring until thickened.
  7. Finish with fresh herbs and adjust seasoning.
  8. Serve the pork chops coated in the sauce with your favorite sides.
