Description
A delightful and flavorful dish featuring juicy chicken thighs coated in a crispy Parmesan crust, served with a rich garlic sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme or parsley
Instructions
- Prep the chicken: Preheat your oven to 400°F. Rinse and pat dry the chicken thighs.
- Season generously: In a bowl, mix salt, pepper, and your choice of herbs. Massage the seasoning into the chicken.
- Create the crust: In a separate bowl, combine grated Parmesan with a bit of olive oil.
- Sear the chicken: In an oven-safe skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and place the thighs skin-side down for 4–5 minutes.
- Add the garlic: Remove the skillet from heat, transfer the chicken to a plate, and sauté minced garlic and butter in the skillet until fragrant.
- Combine: Return the chicken to the skillet, placing it over the garlic and spooning sautéed garlic and butter over each thigh.
- Crust it up: Sprinkle the Parmesan mix evenly over the chicken thighs.
- Bake it: Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 25–30 minutes or until cooked through and golden.
- Rest and serve: Allow the chicken to rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Serve with roasted vegetables or a light salad for a complete meal. Searing the chicken before baking enhances flavor and texture.
