Ingredients
Scale
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 cup frosting (store-bought or homemade)
- 1/2 cup sprinkles or chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt; gradually mix this into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in the frosting and add sprinkles or chocolate chips if desired.
- Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop dollops of dough onto the baking sheet, spacing them about two inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are slightly golden and the centers appear soft.
- Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For thicker cookies, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking. Watch the baking time closely to avoid overbaking.
