Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing in the vanilla extract.
- Combine flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl, then gradually mix into the creamed butter.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheets.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until lightly golden.
- Cool on wire racks before frosting.
- Prepare frosting by beating softened butter, adding powdered sugar, and mixing in milk to desired consistency.
- Frost cookies once cooled and serve.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding nuts or pureed fruits to the dough. Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature for best results.
