A delicious smash burger topped with crispy bacon and melted cheddar, perfect for family gatherings.
Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend)
- 4 slices thick-cut bacon
- 4 slices sharp cheddar cheese
- 4 burger buns (brioche or pretzel rolls)
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, sautéed mushrooms, avocado
Instructions
- Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Reserve the drippings.
- Divide the ground beef into large balls, about 6 ounces each.
- Heat the skillet over high heat until hot.
- Place the meatballs in the skillet and smash them down with a spatula.
- Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder while cooking.
- Flip the patties and add a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty.
- Cover the pan to help the cheese melt for 1-2 minutes.
- Toast the buns in the same skillet until golden brown.
- Assemble the burgers with the bottom half of the bun, patty with cheese, bacon, and desired toppings.
- Serve and enjoy fresh with fries or salad!
