- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- Zest and juice of 2 fresh oranges
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the crust by mixing together butter, granulated sugar, and flour until crumbly. Press into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Bake for 15 minutes until golden and let cool.
- In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, granulated sugar, orange zest, juice, heavy cream, milk, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Pour the custard filling over the cooled crust and bake for 25-30 minutes until just set.
- Cool completely before slicing into squares and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
