Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream or sour cream
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon fresh or dried thyme or rosemary
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish with butter.
  2. Combine the corn with melted butter in a large bowl. Stir in the honey until well coated.
  3. Whisk together the heavy cream, eggs, and herbs in another bowl. Pour this into the corn mixture and stir until combined.
  4. Add in the shredded cheddar cheese if desired.
  5. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and smooth it out.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes until the top is lightly golden and the center is set.
  7. Allow to rest for 10 minutes before serving for easier slicing.
