Description

A delightful gingerbread syrup that adds warmth and sweetness to your coffee, perfect for cozy moments and festive gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 1 tablespoon ground ginger
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, whisk together brown sugar, molasses, ground ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla extract, and water.
  2. Place the saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar dissolves.
  3. Once the mixture comes to a gentle boil, reduce heat and let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes until it thickens slightly.
  4. Remove from heat and let the syrup cool.
  5. Once cooled, pour it into an airtight container or glass bottle. Store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.

Notes

For a thicker syrup, allow it to simmer longer, but be cautious not to overdo it as it will thicken upon cooling.
