- 1 lb tender beef (flank steak or sirloin), sliced thinly
- 1 bunch fresh green asparagus, trimmed
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2–3 tbsp soy sauce (low-sodium optional)
- 1–2 tbsp cooking oil (canola or sesame)
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- Optional: Bell peppers, carrots, or broccoli for added color
Instructions
- Prep your ingredients by gathering and chopping everything.
- Marinate the beef with soy sauce and cornstarch for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Sauté the minced garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the marinated beef and cook for 3-5 minutes until browned; remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, stir-fry asparagus (and any optional vegetables) for 3-4 minutes until crisp-tender.
- Return the cooked beef to the skillet, add more soy sauce if desired, and stir for 1-2 minutes until well combined.
- Serve immediately over rice or noodles, garnished with sesame seeds or green onions.
