Description

A rich and comforting hot chocolate made in a crockpot, perfect for winter gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 4 cups whole milk (or almond/oat milk)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (or brown sugar)
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Combine the cocoa powder, sugar, and a pinch of salt in the crockpot.
  2. Slowly pour in the milk and cream while whisking continuously.
  3. Set the crockpot to low and heat for 1 hour.
  4. Add chocolate chips and stir until melted.
  5. Stir in vanilla extract.
  6. Taste and adjust sweetness if necessary.
  7. Set the crockpot to ‘keep warm’ for serving.
