Instructions

  1. Prepare the seafood: Rinse crabmeat and shrimp under cold water; set aside.
  2. Sauté the aromatics: In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat. Add onion, garlic, and celery; cook until onions are translucent, about 5 minutes.
  3. Make the roux: Add flour to the pot; stir to combine and cook for 2 minutes.
  4. Add broth and flavor: Slowly pour in broth and white wine; bring to a simmer. Toss in bay leaves and thyme; cook for 15 minutes.
