- 1 teaspoon baking powder

- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a half-sheet pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat sugar and eggs until pale, then mix in buttermilk and vanilla.
- Gradually fold dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined.
- Spread batter evenly in the pan and bake for 15-18 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Whip heavy cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
- Spread whipped cream over the cooled cake and roll it up into a log shape.
- Transfer to a serving platter, dust with powdered sugar, and decorate as desired.
