Description
A tender and flavorful chicken dish sautéed with scallions and garlic, bringing comfort and joy to every meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb boneless chicken (breast or thighs)
- 4–5 scallions, chopped
- 2–3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger (optional), minced
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prep your ingredients: Gather and chop everything—slice the chicken, chop the scallions, and mince the garlic!
- Marinate the chicken: In a bowl, combine chicken pieces with soy sauce and let it sit for 15–30 minutes.
- Sauté the chicken: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat, add sesame oil, and add marinated chicken. Sauté for about 5–7 minutes until cooked through and golden brown.
- Introduce aromatics: Push chicken to one side, add minced garlic and ginger, stirring until fragrant (about 1 minute).
- Add the scallions: Toss in the chopped scallions, cook together for an additional 2–3 minutes.
- Finish and serve: Once scallions have softened, adjust seasoning if needed and sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
For variations, substitute chicken with tofu or shrimp for a different twist. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
