Description

Deliciously gooey Caramel Lava Donuts made without a stand mixer, perfect for sharing with family and friends.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • ¼ cup butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a standard donut pan.
  2. Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Combine the eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract in another bowl until smooth.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and fold gently until just combined.
  5. Fill each cavity of the donut pan halfway and create a small well in the center.
  6. Spoon a dollop of caramel sauce into each well and cover with more batter until two-thirds full.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool the donuts for a few minutes before lifting them from the pan. Drizzle with additional caramel and serve warm!

Notes

For an extra richness, consider dusting with powdered sugar before serving.
