Description

A comforting dish that combines flaky tuna with spices and herbs, perfect for busy weeknight dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 can of quality tuna, drained
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley or dill, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Olive oil, for frying

Instructions

  1. Drain the canned tuna thoroughly.
  2. In a large bowl, combine drained tuna, eggs, breadcrumbs, chopped onions, herbs, and spices.
  3. Mix until well incorporated.
  4. Form the mixture into palm-sized patties.
  5. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat until hot.
  6. Cook patties for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  7. Remove from skillet and let drain on paper towels. Serve warm with a squeeze of lemon.

Notes

For extra crispiness, double-dip in breadcrumbs before frying, or bake at 375°F until golden-brown.
