Description

Delightful swirled cookies infused with festive peppermint and vanilla, perfect for holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • Food coloring (red and green)
  • 1 tsp peppermint extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  3. Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs, one at a time, and mix in vanilla extract.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt; gradually mix into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Divide the dough in half; blend food coloring and peppermint extract into one half.
  7. Spoon alternating doughs onto the baking sheet and swirl gently.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are lightly golden.
  9. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  10. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

For a dairy-free option, replace butter with coconut oil. Chill the dough for easier handling if it’s too soft.
