Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh cranberries
  • 1 cup jalapeños, sliced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup water
  • Optional spices: ground cinnamon or cloves

Instructions

  1. Rinse cranberries and remove any stems. Slice jalapeños in half and remove seeds if desired.
  2. In a medium-sized pot, combine water and sugar, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, and any optional spices. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
  3. Add jalapeños to the bubbling syrup and let simmer for 5 to 10 minutes until slightly translucent.
  4. Fold in cranberries and allow the mixture to simmer on low heat for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally until cranberries pop and release their juices.
  5. Once thickened, remove from heat and let cool. Transfer to clean jars and store in the refrigerator.
