- 1 pound fresh jalapeños, sliced into rings
- 2 cups cranberries (fresh or rehydrated dried cranberries)
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 pinch salt
Instructions
- Wearing gloves, slice the jalapeños into thin rings, discarding the seeds if desired.
- In a skillet over medium heat, mix sugar, vinegar, water, garlic, and a pinch of salt, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
- Add the cranberries and jalapeños, stirring gently to coat everything in the syrup.
- Let simmer for about 10-15 minutes until the cranberries plump and the jalapeños soften slightly.
- Once cooled, transfer into a jar and marinate for at least a day for best flavor.
Notes
Adjust the heat level by altering the amount of jalapeños or adding cayenne pepper. Allow flavors to marinate for at least 24 hours before consuming.
