  • 1 packet pectin

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cranberries by rinsing them under cold water and discarding any mushy or unripe berries.
  2. Combine the cranberries, sugar, orange zest, orange juice, and spices in a large pot.
  3. Cook the mixture over medium heat until it reaches a gentle boil and the cranberries burst.
  4. Prepare the pectin by mixing it with a small amount of sugar in a separate bowl.
  5. Add the pectin mixture to the pot and bring to a rapid boil for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Test the consistency by dropping a spoonful on a cold plate to check if it holds its shape.
  7. Jar the hot jam into sterilized glass jars, leaving about a quarter-inch of headspace.
  8. Cool the jars at room temperature and store in the refrigerator.

Notes

Adjust the sugar levels according to taste. This jam freezes well for up to six months.
