Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar for dusting

  3. In another bowl, beat together the eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Gently fold in additional chopped almonds or any other mix-ins if desired.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Allow the pastry to cool before dusting with powdered sugar, slicing into squares or triangles, and serving warm.

Notes

For a dairy-free version, substitute butter with coconut oil or plant-based butter. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to two days, or refrigerate for one week.
