- 1 pound large button or cremini mushrooms
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley or basil, chopped
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan or mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt (optional)
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare the mushrooms by gently wiping them clean and removing the stems.
- Sauté the mushroom stems and minced garlic in olive oil until golden brown.
- Mix the sautéed mixture with cream cheese, sour cream, grated cheese, and herbs until smooth.
- Stuff each mushroom cap with the creamy mixture and pack it tightly.
- Top the stuffed mushrooms with breadcrumbs.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until the tops are crispy and golden brown.
- Serve warm with crackers or veggie sticks.
