Description

A creamy and savory dip made with mushrooms, cream cheese, and fresh herbs, perfect for family gatherings and parties.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups large fresh mushrooms (cremini or button)
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley or thyme, chopped
  • 1/2 cup grated mozzarella or parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Red pepper flakes, optional
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Sauté the mushrooms in a skillet with olive oil and a sprinkle of salt for 5-7 minutes until tender.
  3. Combine the sautéed mushrooms, cream cheese, sour cream, garlic, herbs, cheese, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes in a mixing bowl.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and spread evenly.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.
  6. Serve warm with toasted bread or crackers.

Notes

For added crunch, top with melted butter and breadcrumbs before baking.
