- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and diced
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 1 tablespoon water (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut into 4-inch squares.
- In a mixing bowl, combine strawberries, cream cheese, and sugar; mix until well combined.
- Spoon the filling into the center of each pastry square, leaving a border around the edges.
- Fold the pastry over into a triangle shape and press the edges with a fork to seal. Brush the tops with egg wash.
- Place the turnovers on a lined baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
Notes
Chill the turnovers in the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes before baking for best results.
