  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup confectioners’ sugar
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, diced
  • Oil, for frying

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Combine into the dry mixture and stir until just blended.
  3. Cover and refrigerate dough for 30 minutes.
  4. Beat cream cheese and confectioners’ sugar until smooth, then fold in diced strawberries.
  5. On a floured surface, roll out the chilled dough and cut into donut shapes.
  6. Heat oil in a deep skillet to 350°F.
  7. Fry donuts for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown, then drain on paper towels.
  8. Fill each donut with strawberry cream cheese mixture and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
