- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tbsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup whole milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup confectioners’ sugar
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, diced
- Oil, for frying
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, mix milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Combine into the dry mixture and stir until just blended.
- Cover and refrigerate dough for 30 minutes.
- Beat cream cheese and confectioners’ sugar until smooth, then fold in diced strawberries.
- On a floured surface, roll out the chilled dough and cut into donut shapes.
- Heat oil in a deep skillet to 350°F.
- Fry donuts for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown, then drain on paper towels.
- Fill each donut with strawberry cream cheese mixture and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
