Ingredients
- Chicken (drumsticks or thighs)
- Soy sauce
- Brown sugar
- Garlic, minced
- Ginger, grated
- Sesame oil
- Short-grain white rice
- Scallions, sliced
- Sesame seeds, toasted
Instructions
- Marinate the Chicken: In a bowl, combine soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and brown sugar. Add chicken to marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Prepare the Rice: Rinse rice, cook with 1.5 cups of water until fluffy.
- Fry the Chicken: Heat oil in a skillet, fry chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown. Drain excess oil.
- Make the Sticky Glaze: In the same skillet, simmer the remaining marinade until thick. Coat cooked chicken in the glaze.
- Assemble the Bowls: Serve rice in bowls, top with glazed chicken, and garnish with scallions and sesame seeds.
