  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese (optional)
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tsp Italian herbs
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Boil salted water and cook the egg noodles according to package instructions for 7-8 minutes until al dente, then drain.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté the diced onions until translucent. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
  4. Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, about 8-10 minutes, draining excess fat if necessary.
  5. In a large bowl, combine sour cream, cream cheese (if using), broth, and seasonings. Stir in cooked noodles and the beef mixture until well combined.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
  8. Allow the casserole to cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes
