- 8 oz Smoked Gouda Cheese, shredded
- 2 medium Onions, sliced
- 8 oz Cream Cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup Sour Cream
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup Fresh Herbs (like thyme or chives)
- Salt and Pepper, to taste
- 1 tbsp Butter for sautéing
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Sauté the onions in a skillet with butter over medium heat until caramelized, about 15-20 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, and most of the smoked gouda.
- Fold in the caramelized onions, minced garlic, and fresh herbs. Season with salt and pepper.
- Transfer to a greased baking dish and sprinkle the remaining gouda on top.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until bubbly and golden.
- Serve warm with crusty bread, chips, or fresh veggies.
Notes
For added flavor, consider adding a splash of Worcestershire sauce or sautéed mushrooms.
