Description

A rich and creamy dip featuring smoked gouda and caramelized onions, perfect for gatherings and celebrations.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz Smoked Gouda Cheese, shredded
  • 2 medium Onions, sliced
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup Sour Cream
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Herbs (like thyme or chives)
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp Butter for sautéing

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Sauté the onions in a skillet with butter over medium heat until caramelized, about 15-20 minutes.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, and most of the smoked gouda.
  4. Fold in the caramelized onions, minced garlic, and fresh herbs. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Transfer to a greased baking dish and sprinkle the remaining gouda on top.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until bubbly and golden.
  7. Serve warm with crusty bread, chips, or fresh veggies.

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding a splash of Worcestershire sauce or sautéed mushrooms.
