Description
A whimsical blend of fluffy pancakes and juicy burger patties topped with sautéed mushrooms and garlic.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 dash black pepper
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 cup ground beef
- 1 tablespoon butter (for sautéing)
- 1 cup diced mushrooms (cremini or button)
- 2 minced garlic cloves
Instructions
- In a skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Add diced mushrooms and minced garlic, sauté until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes. Set aside.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and black pepper. In another bowl, mix egg, milk, and melted butter. Stir wet and dry ingredients together until just combined.
- Shape ground beef into two thin patties, season with salt and pepper, and cook in the same skillet over medium-high heat for 3-4 minutes per side.
- Reduce skillet heat to medium, pour a ladle of pancake batter, place a burger patty on top, press lightly, cook for 1 minute, then flip and cook until golden.
- Serve hot with toppings like maple syrup and fresh herbs.
Notes
Feel free to substitute ground beef with turkey or mushrooms for a lighter version.
