A soul-warming slow cooker recipe for BBQ pulled beef that combines tender chuck roast and aromatic spices for a delightful meal.

- 3–4 lbs Chuck Roast
- 1 cup Barbecue Sauce
- 1 medium Onion, sliced
- 3 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 cup Beef Broth
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Smoked Paprika
- 1 tsp Cumin
- 1 tsp Black Pepper
- Salt, to taste
Instructions
- Trim any excess fat from the chuck roast and season it generously with salt and pepper.
- Optional: Sear the meat in a skillet over medium-high heat for 3-4 minutes on each side until browned.
- Place sliced onions at the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Add the beef on top, then minced garlic, spices, barbecue sauce, and beef broth.
- Cover and set the slow cooker to low for 8-10 hours or high for about 4-5 hours.
- Once the beef is tender, use two forks to shred it and mix back with the juices.
- Serve on buns, in tacos, or as desired.
Notes
Allow the meat to rest for a few minutes before shredding to enhance flavor meld.
