- 2 tbsp butter
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 shallot, minced
- Fresh herbs (parsley or chives), for garnish
- 1 lemon, juiced
Instructions
- Pat the scallops dry with paper towels to ensure a good sear.
- Season the scallops with salt and Cajun seasoning; let rest for a few minutes.
- In a skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat and add the scallops without touching each other.
- Sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown; transfer to a warm plate.
- In the same skillet, add more butter and sauté garlic and shallots until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream, stir, add more Cajun seasoning, and lemon juice; simmer until thickened.
- Return scallops to the pan and coat them with the sauce.
- Plate the scallops, drizzle the spicy cream sauce, and garnish with fresh herbs.
