Description
A delightful fusion of tender chicken and fresh scallions, perfectly seasoned with garlic and soy sauce for an umami-rich flavor.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb boneless chicken (breast or thighs)
- 1 bunch fresh scallions, thinly sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp neutral oil or sesame oil
- Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Prep the Ingredients: Thinly slice the scallions and mince the garlic.
- Season the Chicken: Sprinkle chicken with salt, pepper, and soy sauce; marinate for 15-30 minutes.
- Heat the Skillet: Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sauté garlic for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Cook the Chicken: Sear chicken in the skillet until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes per side.
- Add Scallions: Stir in half the scallions and a splash more soy sauce, sauté until scallions soften and chicken is cooked to 165°F.
- Serve and Enjoy: Plate the chicken garnished with remaining scallions; serve with jasmine rice or a fresh salad.
Notes
Avoid overcrowding the pan when cooking; let the chicken rest after cooking for juiciness.
