- 1 lb fresh broccoli, cut into florets
- 4 slices thick-cut bacon, chopped
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp fresh herbs (thyme or parsley)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Wash and cut the broccoli into bite-sized florets.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside, leaving the drippings in the pan.
- Add olive oil and minced garlic to the skillet, sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Toss in the broccoli and sauté until bright green and slightly tender, about 5-7 minutes.
- Reduce heat and add butter, stirring until melted. Add Parmesan cheese and crispy bacon, mix well.
- Season with salt, pepper, and fresh herbs. Serve warm.
Notes
For an extra touch, squeeze a little lemon juice over the top before serving to brighten the flavors.
