Description
A delightful and savory broccoli dish enhanced with garlic sauce and crispy bacon, perfect for family gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 bunch fresh broccoli, cut into small florets
- 4 slices thick-cut bacon
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon low-sodium soy sauce (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the broccoli: Start by washing and cutting the broccoli into small florets.
- Cook the bacon: In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon and let it drain on paper towels, reserving the drippings in the skillet.
- Sauté the garlic: Add the butter and olive oil to the bacon drippings in the same skillet. Once melted and bubbly, throw in the minced garlic and sauté for about a minute until fragrant.
- Add the broccoli: Toss in the broccoli florets, stirring them in the garlic butter. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until tender but still vibrant green.
- Finish with sauce: Return the crispy bacon to the skillet, and pour in the soy sauce (if using). Gently toss until the broccoli is coated and the bacon is heated through.
- Serve warm: Transfer the dish to a serving bowl and garnish with additional cracked pepper or herbs if desired.
Notes
For a creamier sauce, adding a splash of heavy cream during the last minute of cooking enhances richness.
