  • 28 oz crushed tomatoes

  • 8 oz lasagna noodles, broken into pieces

  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for sautéing

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté chopped onions until translucent, about 5 minutes. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
  2. Add the Italian sausage to the pot, breaking it into smaller pieces. Cook until browned and no longer pink, about 5–7 minutes.

  4. Break the lasagna noodles into bite-sized pieces and add to the pot. Cook until al dente, about 10–12 minutes.
