- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder

- 1 cup crushed pretzels
- 1/2 cup salted caramel sauce
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over low heat and let it cool slightly.
- Stir in the brown sugar and granulated sugar until smooth and glossy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, mixing well.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Gently fold in crushed pretzels, saving some for topping.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan, drizzle with salted caramel, then spoon remaining batter on top. Swirl the caramel into the batter.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the edges are golden and center is set but still soft.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then lift out to cool completely on a wire rack before cutting into squares.
Notes
Avoid overmixing the batter and ensure butter is not too hot when melting to maintain texture.
