Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup salted caramel
- Sea salt for sprinkling
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time along with the vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, mixing until just incorporated.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and pieces of salted caramel.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.
- Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top of each cookie.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are golden brown and centers remain soft.
- Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Chill the dough for 30 minutes if cookies spread too much while baking. Don’t overmix the batter after adding flour.
