  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup salted caramel
  • Sea salt for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time along with the vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, mixing until just incorporated.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips and pieces of salted caramel.
  6. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.
  7. Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top of each cookie.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are golden brown and centers remain soft.
  9. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Chill the dough for 30 minutes if cookies spread too much while baking. Don’t overmix the batter after adding flour.
