Description
A delightful and easy-to-make salmon dish wrapped in parchment with citrus butter, fresh herbs, and garlic, bringing a burst of flavor to your dinner table.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 fresh salmon fillets
- 2 lemons, thinly sliced
- 1 orange, thinly sliced
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Fresh herbs (dill, thyme, or parsley)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional vegetables (asparagus, bell peppers, or zucchini)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Cut large pieces of parchment paper, roughly 12×16 inches for each salmon fillet. Fold each piece in half and open it up to create a crease.
- Place a salmon fillet on one half of the parchment. Spread a pat of butter on top, followed by minced garlic, salt, pepper, and fresh herbs. Layer in citrus slices, then fold the parchment over the fillet.
- Starting from one end, fold the edges tightly to seal, creating a crescent-shaped packet.
- Place the sealed packets on a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
- Carefully open the packets and serve the salmon on plates, drizzling with any melted citrus butter that accumulated inside.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute butter with olive oil. Feel free to experiment with different citrus options and vegetables.
