S’mores Brownies

Description

Delicious S’mores Brownies that combine gooey chocolate, crunchy graham crackers, and toasted marshmallows for a nostalgic treat.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips
  • 1 cup crushed graham crackers
  • 2 cups mini marshmallows

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
  2. Melt the butter in a large mixing bowl and let it cool slightly. Mix in the granulated and brown sugar until combined.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition. Then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Fold in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt until just combined. Avoid over-mixing.
  5. Stir in the chocolate chips, then pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan.
  6. Sprinkle a layer of crushed graham crackers over the batter and add mini marshmallows. Pour the remaining batter on top and sprinkle more graham crackers and marshmallows.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean or with a few crumbs attached.
  8. Let the brownies cool for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely before cutting.

Notes

For a toasted marshmallow texture, broil the brownies for a couple of minutes after baking, keeping a watchful eye.
