Description
Deliciously soft and chewy Red Velvet Crinkle Cookies, lightly dusted with powdered sugar, perfect for sharing during holidays and family gatherings.

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon red food coloring
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, brown sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, and red food coloring until smooth.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Cover the dough and chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Scoop out the dough and roll into balls, then roll each ball in powdered sugar.
- Place the cookie balls on the prepared baking sheet and space them apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are set and tops have crinkles.
- Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For a vegan option, replace eggs with flaxseed meal mixed with water and use a plant-based oil.
