Description

Delightfully fudgy brownies swirled with rich cream cheese, embodying the tangy taste of red velvet.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 3 large Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/3 cup Cocoa Powder
  • 12 tablespoons Red Food Coloring
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, melt the butter and stir in granulated and brown sugar until combined.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract.
  4. Sift together flour and cocoa powder, then fold into the wet mixture.
  5. Add red food coloring until desired hue is reached.
  6. In another bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth, then add powdered sugar and vanilla.
  7. Pour half of the brownie batter into the pan, drop spoonfuls of cheesecake mixture and swirl.
  8. Pour remaining brownie batter on top, swirl again.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  10. Allow to cool for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.

Notes

These brownies are best enjoyed chilled and can be topped with powdered sugar or chocolate syrup.
