Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, spices, sugar, and salt.
- Add cold butter and work into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
- Create a well in the center and add pumpkin purée and beaten eggs; mix gently until combined.
- Turn dough onto a floured surface, pat into a circle about 1-inch thick, and cut into triangles or rounds.
- Place scones on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden.
- While cooling, whisk powdered sugar with maple syrup for the glaze.
- Drizzle glaze over cooled scones and serve warm.

For a lighter texture, avoid overmixing the dough and use cold ingredients. For a dairy-free option, substitute coconut oil for butter.
