Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ginger (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon gelatin (or vegan alternative)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients by measuring out the pumpkin and gathering everything else.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until thickened, gradually adding sugar until soft peaks form.
  3. In another bowl, combine pumpkin puree, vanilla, and spices, blending until smooth.
  4. Gently fold the whipped cream into the pumpkin mixture until well incorporated.
  5. Dissolve gelatin according to package instructions and fold it into the mixture.
  6. Spoon the mousse into serving dishes, cover, and refrigerate for at least 240 minutes.
  7. Top with whipped cream or caramel just before serving, adding gingersnaps or pecans for crunch if desired.

Notes

For a dairy-free version, substitute heavy cream with coconut cream.
