Ingredients

  • 1 package puff pastry (thawed)
  • 8 oz fresh burrata
  • 1 cup fresh cranberries
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Fresh herbs (thyme or rosemary) for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Cranberry Glaze: Simmer cranberries with sugar and a splash of water in a saucepan for 10-15 minutes until cranberries burst and create a sticky glaze. Set aside to cool.
  2. Roll the Puff Pastry: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Roll out puff pastry on a floured surface to about ¼ inch thick and cut into tree shapes.
  3. Create the Trees: Lay pastry cutouts on a baking sheet, cut slits for branches, and gently press burrata into the center.
  4. Brush and Bake: Brush with olive oil and bake for 20-25 minutes or until puffed and golden brown.
  5. Add the Cranberry Glaze: Drizzle cooling glaze on top of baked pastry trees.
  6. Serve and Enjoy: Allow to cool briefly before serving as an appetizer or side dish.
