- 1 package puff pastry (thawed)
- 8 oz fresh burrata
- 1 cup fresh cranberries
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Fresh herbs (thyme or rosemary) for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the Cranberry Glaze: Simmer cranberries with sugar and a splash of water in a saucepan for 10-15 minutes until cranberries burst and create a sticky glaze. Set aside to cool.
- Roll the Puff Pastry: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Roll out puff pastry on a floured surface to about ¼ inch thick and cut into tree shapes.
- Create the Trees: Lay pastry cutouts on a baking sheet, cut slits for branches, and gently press burrata into the center.
- Brush and Bake: Brush with olive oil and bake for 20-25 minutes or until puffed and golden brown.
- Add the Cranberry Glaze: Drizzle cooling glaze on top of baked pastry trees.
- Serve and Enjoy: Allow to cool briefly before serving as an appetizer or side dish.
