Ingredients

  • 1 package frozen puff pastry (thawed)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to about 1/8 inch thick.
  3. Spread the melted butter over the entire surface of the pastry.
  4. Mix together the sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle evenly over the buttery surface.
  5. Cut the pastry into strips about 1 inch wide.
  6. Twist each strip in opposite directions and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  7. Brush the tops with the egg wash.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
