- 1 package frozen puff pastry (thawed)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to about 1/8 inch thick.
- Spread the melted butter over the entire surface of the pastry.
- Mix together the sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle evenly over the buttery surface.
- Cut the pastry into strips about 1 inch wide.
- Twist each strip in opposite directions and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Brush the tops with the egg wash.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For a vegan option, replace the egg wash with a mixture of dairy-free milk and maple syrup.
