  • Diet: Flexitarian

Description

A quick and delicious family-friendly meal featuring buttery crescent rolls wrapped around savory taco filling and cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tube of crescent roll dough
  • 1 lb ground beef (or turkey)
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Toppings: fresh salsa, sour cream, chopped cilantro

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground meat over medium heat until cooked through. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add taco seasoning and a splash of water, mixing until combined. Simmer for a few minutes.
  4. Open the crescent roll dough and lay it in a greased baking dish, pressing to form a crust.
  5. Spoon the seasoned meat mixture over the dough, then sprinkle with cheese.
  6. Top with any additional ingredients, if desired.
  7. Fold the edges of the crescent roll dough over the filling.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  9. Remove from oven, let cool slightly, and serve with toppings.

Notes

Feel free to customize the fillings to fit your dietary preferences. Try using lean turkey or chicken for a healthier option, or opt for black beans for a vegetarian version.
