Ingredients

- 1 cup semi-sweet or bittersweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
- Red food coloring
- Optional: crushed peppermint candies for topping
Instructions
- Line an 8-inch square pan with parchment paper.
- In a saucepan, melt chocolate chips and butter over low heat, stirring constantly.
- Add sweetened condensed milk and simmer for 3–5 minutes.
- Stir in peppermint extract and adjust to taste.
- Pour half of the mixture into the pan and spread evenly.
- Add red food coloring to the remaining mixture and stir.
- Pour the colored mixture on top of the white layer and swirl with a toothpick.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours until set.
- Lift out of the pan, cut into squares, and serve.
Notes
For a dairy-free alternative, use coconut cream instead of sweetened condensed milk. Customize with crushed peppermint for added crunch.
