Description

Delightful peppermint Oreo truffles combining crushed Oreos and cream cheese, wrapped in rich chocolate with a refreshing minty finish.


Ingredients

  • 20 Oreo cookies
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 10 oz chocolate (milk, dark, or white)
  • 1 tsp peppermint extract
  • 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies

Instructions

  1. Crush the Oreos in a food processor until finely crushed.
  2. Mix crushed Oreos with softened cream cheese until well-combined.
  3. Add peppermint extract and mix until evenly distributed.
  4. Roll small portions of the mixture into balls, about an inch in diameter.
  5. Chill the rolled truffles on parchment paper for about 30 minutes.
  6. Melt the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  7. Dip each chilled truffle into the melted chocolate and sprinkle with crushed peppermint before the chocolate hardens.
  8. Chill again until the chocolate sets, then serve at room temperature.

Notes

Make cleanup easier by using wax paper. Have extra crushed peppermint on hand for decoration.
